ExerciZe - Project Zomboid

ExerciZe

Just like everyone else. Over the last few months, we've been working on joint fixes and changes for the IwBums Build 41 public beta, while MP Strike Force has been training our own work - not replacing or avoiding anything radically.

But to keep the wheels turning, we've added two sideplanes in patch 41. 44, which is forgiven for actually expanding the network - and adding features that won't have a huge impact on the game or the main code as we knew it.

(A small note: work is being done in real time on a more appropriate and fundamental fresh feature, which will be 100% on sale in Build 42. RJ and Turbo have even sworn at the celebration that they will not stop working on polishing and changes at the same time as these additions.)

EXERCISE

The first of these - the exercise and fitness system - is considered a nice ancillary levity that allows the animation system to add new features to us (and modders).

At one time, players pushed trees to increase their physiological skills - a bug/feature was eliminated, but we knew that we would need an "official" version of this, most soon.

The new system is a way to increase physiological training and strength characteristics, with concerns for all kinds of moments: fatigue, table, class regularity, etc.

The more you exercise, the more exercise you will have, but the better you train, the more fatigue and pain you will feel for a certain time. Then, if your hands hurt or your movements are affected, your fighting ability will decrease.

THE FOG

The second is a new way to visualize fog scenes. The current FOG system cools very well in its own task, but it makes all characters and objects dark in the same way. This does not allow you to get the traditional feeling of "zombies approaching after the fog".

But Turbo, inspired by the unparalleled graveyard player game in the framework of the recent Sid Project, came up with a way to customize more than just having different layers and atmospheric haze for our game.

The new system means that you can still trade on the fog height, but also on its coverage rate. He looks very good on the move and will not upset the current batch to fix MP, becoming a great addition to this IRGE. BTW...

MP STRIKE FORCE

On Tuesday we had a productive meeting with Majestic Tea/Bitbabuinmark, Yuri and Andrey remained involved in their own business in their spare time.

He added a zombie and brought it to the point where he could start debugging the battle itself.

He also plans to reduce the frequency of player purchases (to reduce the bandwidth requirements) and fix problems that character weapons do not match between buyers. The following is the latest video clip that he released this week.

Andrey regularly conducts unique research on server memory usage. Add more and more research systems, arrange all kinds of charts and tables, and apply all kinds of luggage we need to control.

Generally, this is all of this week-but it is worth adding other detailed changes to the sooner the release of the IWbums patch (41. 44): bloody and dirty. The fact that the backpack was washed, the artel order was added to the drink and water function, the scraps could be collected from the broken car, the exploit for collectors was resolved, and Martin. A lot of sophisticated / simplified animation according to.

This week's 2020 vision by Machupikcuinta of Reddits. Click here for the change list of all IWbums patches after the 41st beta. A detailed list of what has been added to the PZ and a video clip on the functions of work are saved here. ITALIC WORD CENTRAL wants to tell your concerns to PZ Wiki and PZ Mailing List, which has a function to send updates when the build is released, in case you try to edit or change something. I'm thinking. In the PZ mailing list, you can send an update notification when the build is released! Also, our discord is not closed for communication or joke!

Is Project Zomboid CPU intensive? Yes, extremely so

Let's enter the main subject. Thanks to advanced artificial intelligence and as a result, Project Zomboid puts a heavy burden on your computer microcessor. Once a flock starts, you need serious processing capacity to make the game proceed smoothly.

According to a recent Steam hardware survey, the average Project Zomboid player is equipped with a 96-98%microcessor. My personal test with a high-speed DDR4 memory and a RTX 3070 graphics microcessor with a 6-core INTEL i7-8700K overclocked has reached 90 to 100 % every day.

It‘s All About The Zombies

Each zombie in Project Zomboid finds its own way every day, reacting to stimuli in the environment around it. With each new zombie, the difficulty level rises exponentially. And almost all horde external phenomena occur, such as swarming, group rotation in case of danger, overcoming obstacles, etc.

When the number of zombies in the zone reaches the usual peak of 300-400, chips with high core/thread counts start to wear out as individual zombies fight against the AI.

What CPU Do You Need?

Based on my research and experimentation in optimizing systems for maximum game performance, here are my top tips if you don't want your PC to slide in Project Zomboid:

CPU Cores/Wires Frequency
Intel i9-12900KS 16/24 Up to 5, 5 GHz
AMD Ryzen9 7950X 16/32 Up to 5, 7 GHz

These microprocessors offer the best multithreading required to run a large number of artificial intelligence tasks simultaneously. Pair this with at least 32GB of fast RAM, a top-end GPU like the RTX 4080, and a super-fast NVMe SSD to close the gap and overcome zombie-heavy hotspots.

Tweaking For The Best Experience

Besides hardware updates, you can configure Project Zomboid to reduce the load on your microprocessor:

  • Lower the peak number of zombies to 300 in the sandbox options.
  • Use mods like Less Skill Decay to reduce background load.
  • Overclock your microprocessor by an additional 5-10% if your thermal profile allows.
  • Set your worker frequency to be equal to or lower than your monitor's refresh rate.

Games are always microprocessor-intensive, but these recommendations will surely help you get through all the hardships between hurdles! If you have any other questions, give me a noble.
