Xiaomi Redmi 1S Review

With a disruptive force like Xiaomi finally reaching Philippine shores, local brands have reason to worry. The first blow was the powerful Mi 3, which was priced at just over 10, 000 pence. Recently, the Chinese manufacturer launched a catering pack of 5200 and 10400 pence, which sold out in just 10 minutes! And now, Xiaomi plans to grab an even bigger share of the local market with a flash sale of the Redmi 1S tomorrow.

The Redmi 1S is priced at just 5599 pence and once again comes with great technical features. We are talking about a mid-range phone that is basically being sold at a submission price. But is the Redmi 1's as good as it is being presented? Recently, some local brands have represented phones that are even more attractive than before, making me wonder if it is worth keeping my fingers ready when the Redmi 1S appears on Lazada tomorrow. Luckily, they gave me a device to test, and thus this Xiaomi Redmi 1S review was born.

What’s in the Box?

Although MI3 and Xaimi power banks are selling like hotcakes these days, many people do not like to buy on the Internet, even from trusted e-commerce shops like Lazada. One of the problems is that the goods can be damaged during transportation. Xiaomi has solved this problem surprisingly well: the box in which the phone and accessories are delivered is surprisingly sturdy. Build Quality and Design

The Redmi 1S has the same square body as the MI3, with rounded sides. On the front panel, there's a sharp and beautiful 4. 7-inch IPS screen, bordered on both sides by disappointingly thick frames.

The upper frame doesn't take up much space and houses the headphones, front camera, proximity sensor and light sensor.

The Screen

Redmi 1S has one of the most beautiful screens I've ever seen in this price range of mobile phones. This is a 4, 7-inch IPS panel, but was set by Sharp, one of the best manufacturers of the monitor. Not only the color reproducibility, but also the viewing angle is good, but in consideration of the fact that the system is not used by OG.

If you prefer to watch movies for hours or listen to thousands of songs from your library, the Redmi 1S will not disappoint. As mentioned before, the Redmi 1S has a very good screen that actually enhances the overall excitement of watching movies. The screen may not be that big, but it is absolutely enough for personal use.

But where the Redmi 1S really impresses is in the audio playback. In case you haven't figured it out yet, Xiaomi has also made the Mi In-Ear Headsets available for purchase in the country. For example, if you happen to be a Redmi 1S (Mi 3) owner, you can purchase these particular headsets. Also, these are not the only ones available in the country. If you have other Mi branded headsets, the Redmi 1S has the ability to upgrade its output.

Like Minion Rush, Spider-Man Unlimited is a running game that tests your reaction time. Unlike Minion Rush, Spider-Man is a bit smoother in the graphics department. As you can see in this screenshot, the game still looks great. It's still responsive and reacts to my movements without any noticeable lag.

PLANTS VS ZOMBIES is slightly different from other games in that it has a strong impact on not only reaction speed but also thinking ability. The game starts simply, but as soon as the zombie wave approaches, it gets more intense. It is unlikely that a low and medium range graphic and microcessor can maintain a smooth operating frequency. However, Redmi 1S showed surprisingly excellent performance here. In this specific wave, there was only one zombie truck, but I didn't notice it even if the frequency of the worker was decreasing.

The last game I tried this mobile phone is Real Racing 3, my favorite game close to reality. In racing games, the reaction speed is tested, so if the reaction is slow, the entire gameplay will be frustrated. Fortunately, Redmi 1S is processing it well. In the introductory video using i n-game engines, there were few problems with speech synchronization that usually occur in slow mobile phones.

Battery Life

As a mobile phone with at least a diagonal 5-inch screen, REDMI 1S has three large battery capacity. There is a capacity of 2. 050mAh, and the waiting time is wonderful. And this includes two SIM cards and Wi-Fi connection. When I didn't use it, I often used it for 5 days without charging.
