Dossier
This section should be a direct copy of what the file's author, survivor Helena Walker, actually wrote. There are probably some inconsistencies between the words and the creatures in the game.
PaintingCharacter
Sinomacropus bondei is a friendly, inquisitive little pterosaur. Although it has the ability to approach and study unknown creatures, Sinomacropus is just plain scary. When danger approaches, it spreads its wings and opens its deformed eye sockets to confuse or scare off predators. Last but not least, Sinomacropus is considered a very intelligent creature with a desire to communicate. Despite being generally inquisitive and friendly, Sinomacropus's attractive voraciousness can turn it into a lethal weapon at the mere sight or smell of an insect. Alone, this beautiful animal can exterminate insects much larger than itself. Unfortunately, this means that the chitinous plate scales will provoke retaliatory attacks from a heartbroken pterosaur.
Taming a Sinomacrops is (in theory) very basic. Once tamed, Sinomacrops will love to roam with them and cuddle with them whenever possible. They are not only sociable, but will also defend their students with rage. Any small creature approaching a tamed Sinomacrops will be greeted with its glowing eye sockets and a sharp cry. This is usually enough to stun the small intruder. For such a small kite, Sinomacrops are capable of carrying incredibly heavy loads. They are also capable of withstanding the dignity of an adult, although they struggle with their length. Last but not least, companion animals that act as gliders and parachutes are valuable for travelers in the ARK.
Appearance
Sinomacrops are small-winged reptiles with short, round heads and huge eyes. The huge part of the body is covered with short hairs, and the tip of the nose and the ringed tail is long. There are short, curving stripes on both sides of the head. But before that, their configuration may resemble Dimorphodon. Sinomacropus is easily identifiable by the bright eye-like pattern on the wings.
Color Scheme and Regions
This section introduces the natural colors and habitats of Sinomacropus. For display purposes, the following habitats are painted scarlet for albino Sinomacropus. The colored squares shown under each habitat description are the colors that happen to be seen in the light to ensure an artistic spectrum of Sinomacropus' natural colors. Hovering the cursor over the paint will display the title and personal number.
This information can be used to set the habitat of Sinomacropus by entering the cheat SetTargetDinoColor command in the cheat console. For example, the cheat SetTargetDinoColor 0 6 will paint the "body" of Sinomacropus purple.
